Zhou Yongkang retired senior leader of the Communist Party

One of the most powerful tigers in China, Zhou Yongkang from alleged abuse of power and corruption, labor camps, reveling national secrets to a coup of toppling President Xi Jinping.  Zhou most senior-ranked official since the founding of the People's Republic of China to be investigated for corruption.  Zhou was considered untouchable, his secret police force had a staff of 10 million where as the Peoples Liberation Army has 2.5 million.  The budget for the secret police was 10 billion dollars more than the Army.

Tiger gets Life in Prison

In late 2013, Zhou was placed under investigation on December 5, 2014, state media announced Zhou's arrest to face criminal charges, as well as his expulsion from the Communist Party of China.  On April 3, 2015, Zhou was charged with bribery, abuse of power and the intentional disclosure of state secrets, and handed from the Party's disciplinary agents to Tianjin Municipal No. 1 Intermediate People's Court.  He was sentenced to life imprisonment on June 11, 2015.
